Welcome to Island Volleyball Club
Welcome to Island Volleyball Club's second year of operation. Island Volleyball Club offers east bay juniors in and around Alameda convenient and reasonably priced volleyball teams, clinics, camps, and other activities. Founded by longtime player and coach, Jeff Silverman, the club provides first class training, and more importantly lots of fun for interested players. You will find our philosophy to be different than most clubs. We hope it is to your liking as we choose to perpetuate innovative approaches to competition, coaching, and winning, and emphasize positive rather than negative reinforcement to get the most out of our athletes.

Girls club season begins with try outs in November, nonleague tournaments
in January, and a season that runs from February through May. Island
Volleyball Club is looking for enthusiastic girls between the ages of 12
- 18
to try out for Island club teams. An initial
t ry
out will
be held Monday, November 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., and a follow up try
out will be scheduled for Monday, November 17 should the need arise. Try
outs will be held at the Bladium located at 800 West Tower Avenue, Bldg
40, Alameda, CA, 94501. Please plan on arriving up to half an hour before
the start of the try out so both parent and player can sign the necessary
paperwork prior to stepping on the court.
Island club teams will practice once or twice a week in Alameda and/or
Oakland, and play in 7 weekend (all day Saturday and/or Sunday) tournaments
from January through the May/June northern California regional championsips.
The cost to play on the team is $750, and financial assistance is available
based on need. Click

Boys Power League Season Under Way
Island 18-1 Boys Power League team is in the midst of its tournament season, playing teams from all over northern California. The team practices once to twice a week in Alameda, and is playing 7 weekend (all day Saturday and/or Sunday) tournaments from September through the December northern California regional championsips.

While we try to keep our club volleyball fees as reasonable as we can, we know some families find it difficult to afford. We want everyone who wants to play to be able to play. That's why we organize some great fund raising activities. Please check back for updated information on upcoming fund raising events.
In addition to fund raising, of course we'll happily accept donations
and apply the funds based upon your wishes. If you'd like to join in
